Saddleback Impala Breeding Herd – Established Genetics Since 2012
Our breeding program was established at the end of 2012 with a quality 23” Black Impala ram (Phala Phala Ranch) and carefully selected females originating from a herd renowned for producing exceptional rams measuring between 23” and 29”.
In 2016, we strengthened our genetics by introducing a superior Saddle-back ram. Since then, we have followed a strict selection program, continuously retaining only the best ram from our own offspring to ensure consistent genetic improvement and strong horn development.
Our current breeding ram was measured in November, recording an impressive horn length of 23 5/8” with a 14 3/4” tip-to-tip spread, reflecting the quality and consistency of the herd.
A passive capture will take place from the end of March 2026. We will primarily be offering select older females — an excellent opportunity to acquire proven genetics from a well-managed, performance-driven breeding program.
